I’m still envious at how a non-Jewish girl with hardly any knowledge of the Israel-Arab situation got herself a sub-editor’s job at Haaretz. Good on you, Jill, but whatever else you do, make sure you tell your English friends about the real Israel behind the scenes, and not the Guardian or Independent version.

Thank you for sharing your story. I have only been to Israel once, and found it to be the most extraordinary experience of my life. Every year I think of going back, but it is fear that keeps me from doing so. I hope to be able to put the fear behind me, as you did, and take advantage of my heritage. I don’t know a singe soul who has been to Israel and regretted it. It is a magical and spiritual place.

i am indian and a hindu, i got link to this site from faithfreedom.org ,i want to appeal jews that both hindus and jews are from pro christ , civilizations and we are hurted by these two religions tremendously, but at this time christians are helping jews, directly or indirectly,but in my country case is different we r suffering as u r, but here both christians and muslims are our enemies they are converting poor hindus and muslims are killing innocent people in many parts of my country,so both hindus and jews have suffered very much due to expancianist nature of these two religions and before few days we have arranged a big conference of about 41 civilizations ,of which representatives of all these including jews attended the ceremony attended in capital of india .and i hope this could be begining of new era of peace in history on non muslim non christian era of world and people from all civilizations world live in world and all cultures are respected. for this to happen we have to work together bcos we have teh land to tribute our lives ,on earth.
ie my india and ur isriel.
