The first Jazz Festival of Jerusalem will take place between 19-22 of June. It will present a large scale of Jazz styles. It will take place in four locations: The train site, the roof of Shaananim residents, the hall of the Cinematec where a Jam Session will take place, and the hall of The Yellow Submerine pub, Where a master class will take place.
The tickets will cost you between 65 Shekels and 135 Shekels, and the master class and Jam session will be free. During the festival drummer Louis Hayes will perform along with trombone player Curtis Fuller and trumpet player Morris Brown. Trumpet man Kenny Wheeler will perform along with a quartet of players and the Italian singer Diana Tuorto. Sax and clarinet player, Mateh Harker, will play as well performing original materials combined with electronic music.
Also in the program: The Cuban drummer Ignacio Berroa and his five players, the sax player Grammy winner David Sanchez, and Pianist Jerry Allen. Israeli musicians will also take part, amongst other Ensemble with the Ladino singer Odelia Daha, Avi Leybowitz and his band and Avi Adrien.
