Have you ever seen the movie or the musical “Little Shop of Horrors?”. Well if you have then you will be familiar with the character of the sadistic dentist who enjoys the pain and suffering of his clients. Most of the time we view this character as a parody about the profession of dentistry and the amount of pain it gives us. But a woman from Holon won’t think that anymore, not after the incident of last night.

The woman came into the office of a dentist her son has been seeing, and asked him for her son’s teeth X-rays shots. She believed the treatment was deficient and wanted to take the shots to another dentist to get a second opinion. The forty-nine years old dentist refused and an argument burst between the two. In the end the woman decided to go back to her work place in a near-by store, and ask her boss to come and help her. He agreed and they both went back to see the dentist. A confrontation took place between the woman’s employer and her dentist, and pretty soon it became violent as the dentist tore the employer’s shirt off his body.

Then the dentist calmly went into a nearby store of building materials, picked up an hammer, went back to the scene of the confrontation and threw the hammer in the employer’s face. He knocked out several of his teeth, perhaps trying to arrange some future work for himself. The woman called the police and the dentist fled. He was caught and arrested that night. The woman and her employer told the cops they smelled alcohol while talking to the dentist.

I wonder if this dentist drives a motorcycle, wears a black leather coat and likes to sniff on laugh gas.
One thing’s for sure, after this little incident it’s very easy to believe that his treatment was a little bit deficient. Or maybe he was just making sure he’d have more work in the future…
