Another Israeli Big Purchase: Microsoft Buys an Israeli Company

According to the Israeli news site “Ynet”, Microsoft International has decided to buy the Israeli company “Whale Communication” from Rosh Hahain. The deal is estimated at seventy to eighty million dollars.

The founders of Whale and owners are Daniel Shtainer, Elad Baron,
Yossi Morein and Moshe Livneh. They also own the company “Soft Link”, and will now be some of richest people in Israel. Whale was started in the Year 1998 as a local start-up company, dealing with a distant secured access to an organization’s inner network. The company since developed and started working also in Europe and in the States, but the mother branch remained in Israel.

Microsoft already informed the company’s employees about their purchase, and is due to deliver a formal massage very soon.

This move of Microsoft co-relates with its decision to turn Israel’s branch into a development center. This will lead to an expansion of Microsoft’s investments and interest in Israeli companies.
