Estee Lauder and the new boycotts

Estee Lauder Corporation (which is also the parent company of Prescriptives, Mac, Bobbie Brown, La Mer, Jo Malone,Clinique, Origins, Aramis, Aveda and Bumble and Bumble) is being boycotted by a loud and ambitious campaign of the world’s Arab and Muslim community due to Ron Lauder’s (Estee Lauder’s President) support for Israel.
Mr. Lauder has been extremely courageous and public in his support for the Jewish State and has taken real personal and financial risks to inform the world of the war that the Palestinian Authority has declared on Israel and Jews worldwide.
To combat this boycott I suggest that we all go out and buy as much Estee Lauder and Clinique products as possible. Make the Estee Lauder and Clinique counters your gift of choice. Switch brands at least for a while. It is said that beauty has many discomforts. So does supporting those who speak for us.
PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW! LET’S SHOW THAT PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD WILL STAND TOGETHER.

The above message was forwarded to my email today by concerned persons who see this and others like it as a renewal of the anti-Israel boycott which was originally put in place by many Arab and Muslim countries following Israel’s becoming an independent nation-state in 1948.

In the aftermath of Israel’s military actions against the Palestinian Authority in June of this year, following the attack on an Israeli IDF patrol along the border with Gaza, in which 3 soldiers were killed and another was captured, Israel’s post Gaza disengagement ‘honeymoon’ with many world bodies, including a number of Arab states, came to an abrupt end. Israel’s subsequent military actions, to try to gain the release of its captive son, Gilad Shavit, as well as to put an end to the continuous firing of home-made Kassam rockets into Israel, began a series of venomous attacks against the Jewish State in which the above example is only a part.

The entire situation became even more pronounced with the commencement of what is now being called the Second Lebanese War, also instigated with an attack on an Israeli patrol on the border with Lebanon and the capture of two reserve soldiers, Udi Goldwasser and Eldad Regev. After a 34 day bloody conflict in which numerous casualties, and immense property damage was inflicted to both sides, a ceasefire was finally agreed upon; and except for a few ‘flare-ups’, relative calm has again been restored. The outcome of this latest conflict, with the Hezbollah and it’s Arab-Islamic allies, Syria and Iran, being declared the ‘winners’, Israel’s world image has now sunk to new lows, which is obviously being reflected in the renewed boycotts of not only Israeli-made products, but those from Jewish owned or managed companies such as Estee Lauder as well. And this renewed ‘boycott’ activity has not only been limited to Muslim countries. During the course of the war, a well known German company cancelled a large contract with Israel’s national bus transportation company, Egged, to build a fleet of new coaches. Egged reciprocated by initiating its own cancellation, and is now in the process of securing a new contract with a manufacturer in the Far East. The fall-out from this renewed anti-Israel and anti-Jewish economic activity is nothing new to Israel, as in reality, the ‘boycott’ has never been lifted by many countries, including the U.A.E., of which the Emirate City-State of Dubai recently entered into negotiations to service marine cargos of a number of American East Coast sea ports. Dubai, and others such as Qatar and Bahrain have never had either economic or other relations with Israel, despite being considered as some of the more ‘liberal’ of the Arab states in the Middle East.

As many of Estee Lauder’s products were previously sold in Dubai and neighboring Persian Gulf countries, it is commendable that the company’s President, Ron Lauder, has taken such a courageous step, even though this will entail economic losses on all of the mentioned companies within the Estee Lauder group. God willing, Israel will overcome this latest adversity, and brave support by such people as Ron Lauder is very much appreciated; not only by the people of Israel, but from the entire realm of world Jewry as well.

Ron Lauder doesn’t have to worry as most real devout Muslims don’t use Western ‘Satanist’ products anyway. They even started making their own brand oc cola, etc. several years back.

The main concern are non-Muslim Europeans like the Frence (oops, they don’t use deodorants, etc. either, though they do use perfumes and other beauty products).

Guess it’s back to “freedom fries”
