Chai Online – Israeli Dogs Adopted in US

CHAI Online - Israeli Dog Rescue
Just heard about this. During the Hezbollah war many dogs up North were left behind and picked up by the shelters in Israel. With some of the pets getting reunited with their human families there were quite a few that were left homeless. During November 40 of the puppies rescued arrived in Washington, D.C. for a chance at a new home in the US. The puppies made appearances at adoption days in Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland. The good news is that they were ALL adopted.

“We reunited many puppies with their original families, and we placed more with new families in Israel as a result of numerous, well-publicized adoption days. But adoptions go slowly in Israel, and we are concerned that they will be adults, and therefore more difficult to place, before they are all adopted,” says Nina Natelson, CHAI’s Director. “We want to give them the best opportunity we can to find homes, and so we are bringing them here.”
