It was the "watchmacher" (Barak) who was the frontrunner, with 35% of the Laborites consensus followed by Ayalon, with 31% and Peretz with 22%.

Barak will face Ayaon next month in the runnoff. Peretz...will face himself in the mirror and realize that his moment of truth has finally come. Maybe Sderot, his hometown, will have a place for him as local security chief.</description>
