Hi Stephanie,

The real challenge is finding a ‘broker’ (mitavech in Hebrew) who is willing to deal in a six months rental. If your Hebrew is limited, I would strongly suggest contacting the Tel Aviv office of the AACI at 22 Mahzeh Street. They can probably recommend someone. You can also go there and post an ad on thier bulletin board that you are looking for a 1 bedroom flat.

Be prepared to pay at least half a months rent, if not more, for their services.

yes, yes, yes It’s obvious it’s a tight market. Now can someone tell this new arrival (looking for a one bedroom sublet for six months) where to find a reputable broker?

Quite right, regarding the tall buildings. They have, however, added a touch of “cosmopolitanism” to a city whose only skyscrapers were once the Shalom tower and the Shimshon building in the Diamond Exchange Complex. What is now transpiring is the Singapore Plan to it’s fullest - except for the traffic problem that is.

This is a really old photo. If only there were
still that many parking spots and no tall
buildings to block the skyline….
